Foundation Receives Love’s Travel Stops Grant for Teachers

The Putnam City Schools Foundation received a generous surprise donation of $20,000 from Love’s Travel Stops.
“I got a call from Courtney Franklin with Love’s and she explained that the Love Family wanted to donate money to public school foundations for teacher grants this year, and that we had been selected as a recipient. Then she said it was for $20,000, and I was truly speechless,” said Jennifer Seal, president of the Putnam City Schools Foundation.
Love’s Travel Stops makes generous grants each year to a variety of organizations across central Oklahoma. The grant to the Putnam City Schools Foundation will purchase books, curriculum and training for teachers.
“Love’s is excited to give back to the Putnam City Schools Foundation and help schools where our employees send their kids,” said Jenny Love Meyer, executive vice president and chief culture officer for Love’s. “We know that schools are struggling because of the pandemic, and hope this donation takes some burden off teachers.”
