The Putnam City Schools Foundation has launched their 2018-19 Annual Campaign with the theme of Sow Big Dreams.
“This year’s theme plays on the excitement we all had when we were little and dreamed of becoming doctors, dancers and a myriad of other things. We’re asking all our friends to help us foster big dreams in our children so that those dreams can become reality,” said Jennifer Seal, Foundation President.
The Foundation believes that the only thing standing in the way of our children achieving beyond their current understanding is having exposure to new worlds and ways of thinking that foster those big dreams.
“Our work is rooted in providing exposure in a variety of fields so that children’s imaginations can go in new directions. The stronger a foundation they have in a wide breadth of concepts, the more robust their dreams will be. Then our teachers will work to turn those dreams into goals and plans," said Seal.
Children may have an entrepreneur’s heart, but if they’ve never heard the story of Bill Gates or Sheryl Sandberg, then how can they capture that spirit?
They may like to take things apart and see how they work, but if they’ve never been exposed to engineering as a field, then they won’t know that their inquisitiveness can serve them in a lifelong career.
The Sow Big Dreams campaign also builds on the Foundation’s new website, launched in mid-September and designed by myheartcreative. The fresh look and approach integrate the Board of Trustee’s vision for a seamless design that supports the community’s ability to help out wherever they feel comfortable. Chairman of the Board Chuck Thomas said, “We are so proud of our new website we thought it would be a fantastic tie-in to use our new tagline as our annual campaign theme."
