Providing children with the opportunity to be ready for kindergarten fulfills the Foundation’s mission like few other things. Our support of the Early Birds program leads to transformational learning for our children.
Early Birds is a school readiness program for families in Putnam City Schools that provides parents with tools to teach their preschool age children language learning, math and reasoning, and social/emotional skills before they enter kindergarten.
Participants report that these sessions help them to better understand their child’s development. They also feel less stress when playing and interacting with their children. Each family leaves with parent literacy kits that contain age appropriate educational toys, books, and tools. All classes are conducted in English and Spanish.
