CareShare Christmas provides the Putnam City community and others an opportunity to share from their abundance at Christmastime. Our team of volunteers receives adoption forms from underprivileged families all over our district and matches those with adopters willing to shop for them. High school classes, Sunday schools, offices and other groups often band together to adopt a family with several children.
This simple way of sharing provides so much joy to children who may not otherwise have something to unwrap on Christmas morning. Because of the generosity of adopters, more than $80,000 per year come into the families. The Foundation also accepts cash donations to offset the costs incurred in the program, and fill in any shopping gaps if we don’t have enough adopters.
Each year, over 1,000 children are helped through CareShare Christmas. For more information contact CareShare Coordinator Dondra Floresca at (405) 820-6089 or [email protected].
