The Putnam City Schools Foundation received a grant for $5,000 from BP America for the purchase of SmartBoards at Tulakes Elementary School.
SmartBoards transform students from "viewers" to "participants". They allow students to take a much more interactive role as participants in learning. The SmartBoard technology will become a fully integrated aspect of regular classroom instruction, designed for students and teachers, providing exceptional learning experiences and high levels of student engagement.
The mission of the Putnam City Schools Foundation is to enhance and enrich educational opportunities in the Putnam City schools.
