Oklahoma City, OK-The Putnam City Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation for its Sustainable Organization Support program. The grant will be used to assist the Putnam City Foundation in developing a five year strategic plan and enhance marketing materials, thereby increasing our level of support to the Putnam City School District.

“We are so pleased to have received this grant,” says Caroline Gist, Putnam City Foundation’s Executive Director. “This project will allow us to educate those who care about the success of Putnam City (alumni, former teachers, parents, local businesses, and community) and increase our support to the district. We appreciate this grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.”

Since 1987, the Putnam City Foundation has enhanced and enriched educational opportunities for the 19,000 Putnam City students and 1,400 district teachers through: anti-bullying programs (Challenge Day); early childhood education classes for parents (Early Birds); assistance to students for vision, hearing, and dental services (Community Fund); providing shoes, coats and Santa to students (Care Share); as well as numerous awards and scholarships for teachers and students. The PC Foundation received the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Outstanding Program Award for its Early Birds program, which was made possible through generous support from Oklahoma City Community Foundation and Smart Start Central Oklahoma.
