On December 16, the Putnam City Foundation unveiled the plaques introducing the newly formed "Leo and Mary Ruth Mayfield Legacy Society".  Those in attendance included:  Charles and Marilee Hattendorf (Marilee is the daughter of Leo and Mary Ruth Mayfield.  Charles and Marilee were the first donors to the Legacy Society); Larry and Suzy Lemon (who donated $30,000 for six family members to be listed on the plaque); Evelyn Downs (widow of former Putnam City superintendent Ralph Downs); and many other supporters of the Putnam City district.  The two plaques-one with a photo of Leo and Mary Ruth Mayfield and one with the "completed" and "promised" donations-are on permanent display in the Putnam City Administration Building, 5401 N.W. 40th St., Oklahoma City.
